Our client is a specialist recruitment firm with a strong footprint across the UK and USA, focusing on the Built Environment. With continued growth in the US market, they are now looking to hire their first South Africa–based Resourcer/Researcher to support our expanding operations

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established international recruitment business while helping build the foundation for a future team in South Africa.

The Role: Resourcer / Researcher (USA Market)

As a Resourcer/Researcher, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging top-tier talent across the US construction and engineering sectors. This is a 180° role focused purely on candidate generation, talent mapping, and shortlisting — no business development required.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and engage candidates for US civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering roles

• Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines

• Conduct market and talent mapping across the US Built Environment sector

• Manage candidate outreach using LinkedIn Recruiter

• Update and maintain the ATS/CRM (Firefish)

• Work independently with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with the US and UK teams on hiring needs

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Haves (Non‑Negotiable):

• Experience recruiting within the Built Environment / Construction sector

• Strong hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter

• A proactive, energetic self‑starter who thrives in an autonomous environment

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working in or supporting the US recruitment market

• Exposure to Civils, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering roles

• Familiarity with Firefish ATS

Growth & Progression

This role begins as a dedicated Research/Resourcer position, but for the right person, there is scope to grow into a broader recruitment role as the SA team expands.
