Recruitment Consultant
Job description
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant with a strong background in Data Centre and/or Infrastructure recruitment to join the business as a fully integrated member of the team. This is not intended to be a traditional offshore sourcing position, but rather a long-term strategic hire who will play a key role in helping scale the business and support major client projects across Europe.
The successful individual will work closely alongside the team, receiving direct mentorship and exposure to both recruitment delivery and broader commercial growth initiatives within the business.
Core Focus Areas
The primary focus of the role will be recruiting within the Data Centre technology ecosystem, specifically supporting the hiring of:
Data Centre Technicians
Data Centre Engineers
Deployment Engineers
Infrastructure Specialists
GPU / AI Infrastructure Professionals
High-Performance Computing (HPC) talent
Site Reliability Engineers (SREs)
Closely aligned Infrastructure and Cloud professionals
The focus is specifically on the technology and operational side of Data Centres rather than construction or physical build projects. Candidates should understand the infrastructure that sits within a Data Centre environment and be familiar with the associated technical talent landscape.
Geographic Coverage
The successful hire will predominantly support recruitment activity across:
Germany
United Kingdom
Nordics
Romania
Poland
Spain
Wider European markets as projects evolve
Experience recruiting internationally, particularly across Europe, will therefore be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
The role will ultimately evolve into a full end-to-end recruitment position, including:
Candidate sourcing and headhunting
Candidate qualification and screening
Interview management
Offer management
Counter-offer handling
Candidate relationship management
Client interaction (where applicable)
Talent pooling and future talent mapping
Competitor tracking and market intelligence gathering
Identification of potential new business opportunities within the market
You highlighted the importance of finding someone who can think strategically and connect market trends and hiring activity back to broader business opportunities for the company.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We will primarily target individuals who possess:
Essential
Proven recruitment experience within Data Centres, Infrastructure, Cloud, or closely related technical markets
Experience recruiting technical professionals rather than construction-focused Data Centre talent
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
End-to-end recruitment capability
High levels of organisation and proactivity
Commercial awareness and market intelligence capabilities
Desire to become embedded within a growing business
Highly Desirable
Existing Data Centre network
European market recruitment experience
Experience supporting high-volume project hiring
Ability to operate autonomously and make informed recruitment decisions
Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure or Cloud recruitment markets
Personality & Cultural Fit
Based on our discussion, cultural fit will be equally important as technical experience.
The ideal individual will be:
Entrepreneurial in mindset
Ambitious and growth-oriented
Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment
Collaborative and communicative
Commercially aware
Curious and proactive
Motivated by long-term career progression and development opportunities
The opportunity appears particularly well suited to someone who may currently sit within a delivery-focused or back-office recruitment function and is looking to step into a broader, more consultative and commercially involved position.
Opportunity & Long-Term Growth
The role presents a significant opportunity for personal and professional growth, particularly in light of the potential large-scale European Data Centre project currently under discussion.
Should this project be secured, hiring demand is expected to increase substantially, with projected volumes of approximately:
120 hires over the next 6–7 months
Potential expansion beyond 200 hires thereafter
This creates a considerable platform for both earnings’ growth and career progression for the successful hire.
Compensation
Our understanding is that:
Target base salary range is approximately £1,500 - £2,100 per month.
Flexibility exists for exceptional individuals.
The company remains open-minded regarding commission structures and would welcome market guidance throughout the search process.
The aim is to create a compelling earning opportunity that rewards performance whilst encouraging long-term commitment.
Working Environment
The successful hire will receive:
Full integration into the team
Direct access to leadership
Premium equipment and software required to perform effectively
Potential travel opportunities to the UK and Europe
Ongoing support and development
Genuine visibility within the business rather than operating as a siloed remote resource
