Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Onboarding & Compliance Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a highly organised, people-focused role responsible for managing the end-to-end post-placement experience for a large portfolio of global contractors and permanent hires.

The successful candidate will play a key role in retention, contractor engagement, redeployment, extensions and referrals, ensuring consultants and clients receive a high standard of support throughout the placement lifecycle.
Working Model

Remote

The role will support contractors and consultants across multiple international markets, including:

  • UK

  • US

  • Europe

  • LATAM

  • Asia

Working hours will be structured to provide overlap across both UK/European and US working hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the post-placement engagement process for approximately 70 global contractors.

  • Support approximately 10 concurrent permanent contracts.

  • Manage contractor onboarding from placement through to successful start.

  • Collect and verify standard compliance and post-placement documentation using established templates.

  • Coordinate first-day logistics and ensure all required information is recorded accurately.

  • Maintain accurate contractor and placement records within the CRM/ATS.

  • Conduct regular Teams check-ins every 2–3 weeks with contractors.

  • Record feedback and relevant updates within the ATS.

  • Monitor contractor engagement and identify potential retention risks.

  • Audit weekly timesheets through partner portals.

  • Identify billing anomalies and escalate issues where required.

  • Communicate commercial opportunities, including extensions and redeployment opportunities, back to recruitment consultants.

  • Manage contractor offboarding processes.

  • Collect testimonials and feedback at the end of assignments.

  • Proactively engage with contractors approaching the end of their assignments to identify redeployment opportunities.

  • Support consultants in retaining and developing contractor relationships.

  • Identify opportunities for referrals and future placements.

  • Maintain a structured and proactive approach to contractor communication and relationship management.

What We Are Looking For
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.

  • Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.

  • Comfortable managing a large number of people and ongoing processes simultaneously.

  • Confident communicating with a broad range of professionals, from junior technology candidates through to senior directors.

  • Thick-skinned, adaptable and able to handle challenging conversations professionally.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

  • Previous experience in Customer Success, Contractor Care, Account Management, Recruitment Operations or Recruitment Administration.

  • Previous recruitment or IT experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Strong organisational and client-care instincts are more important than direct recruitment industry experience.

  • Experience working with ATS or CRM systems.

  • Experience with Calendly and similar scheduling tools is advantageous.

  • Comfortable learning and working with partner payroll or contractor management portals.

Working Hours

The target schedule is:

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM UK time / 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM SAST

Alternatively, a flexible schedule of approximately 9:00/9:30 AM – 5:00/5:30 PM UK time may be considered to provide suitable overlap with UK, European, and US working hours.
