Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Delivery Consultant / Resourcer to join their engineering recruitment team, focusing specifically on blue-collar engineering and industrial roles across the UK market.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced delivery role suited to someone who understands industrial and temporary recruitment. The successful candidate will work across an existing portfolio of live vacancies, including a significant number of candidate-short CNC and skilled trades roles.

This is not traditional permanent recruitment. The desk operates more like a temp recruitment environment, where speed, candidate engagement, market knowledge and consistent communication are critical.

Working Model

The position is open to both:

  • Full-time

  • Part-time

The role will support the UK engineering and industrial market, so previous UK recruitment experience is essential.

What You'll Be Recruiting

You will focus primarily on skilled blue-collar engineering and industrial positions, including:

  • CNC Machinists

  • Fitters

  • Welders

  • Skilled Trades

  • Engineering Operatives

  • Related Industrial and Manufacturing roles

There is already a strong volume of existing vacancies requiring immediate delivery, giving the successful candidate an established workload from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of candidate delivery across engineering and industrial vacancies.

  • Source and engage skilled blue-collar candidates across the UK market.

  • Manage a high-volume and fast-moving candidate pipeline.

  • Conduct approximately 20–30 candidate conversations per day.

  • Complete a minimum of 10 candidate registrations per week.

  • Maintain consistent daily call activity.

  • Identify candidates who may be open to moving roles for improved pay or opportunities.

  • Build detailed knowledge of local engineering and industrial talent markets.

  • Research competitor agencies and gather relevant market and trade information.

  • Build and maintain reusable candidate lists for current and future vacancies.

  • Ensure candidates are correctly tagged and categorised within the CRM.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records.

  • Keep candidates engaged throughout the recruitment process.

  • Work quickly to replace candidates where availability or circumstances change.

  • Develop long-term candidate pools to reduce reliance on sourcing from scratch for every vacancy.

What We Are Looking For
  • UK recruitment experience is essential.

  • Ideally 2+ years of recruitment experience, provided it is within a relevant market.

  • Previous experience within a fast-paced industrial, engineering or temporary recruitment environment.

  • Strong understanding of high-volume candidate sourcing and delivery.

  • Comfortable working with skilled blue-collar and trades candidates.

  • Experience managing high daily call volumes.

  • Confident speaking with 20–30 candidates per day.

  • Strong candidate registration and qualification skills.

  • Able to work quickly in a market where candidate availability changes frequently.

  • Strong research and market-mapping capability.

  • Highly organised with excellent CRM discipline.

  • Comfortable building, tagging and maintaining candidate lists for future use.

  • Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.

Candidates from predominantly office support, finance or administration recruitment backgrounds are unlikely to be suitable for this opportunity.

Tools & Systems

The successful candidate will work with:

  • JobAdder for CRM and candidate management.

  • CV Library for candidate sourcing.

  • Reed for candidate sourcing and advertising.

  • Internal candidate databases and targeted talent lists.

Strong data tagging and list-building discipline is essential, ensuring candidates can be easily identified and re-engaged for future opportunities.

What's on Offer
  • Salary of £1,800 per month.

  • Commission on each successful placement.

  • Option to work full-time or part-time.

  • Existing portfolio of live engineering vacancies from day one.

  • High-volume desk with strong placement potential.

  • Opportunity to specialise in candidate-short engineering and skilled trades markets.

  • Established recruitment tools and sourcing platforms.

  • Opportunity to build and own a valuable engineering candidate network.
